Cleansing Tips

Two weeks prior to beginning your cleanse, slowly remove animal meat, dairy products, breads and starches from your diet. As much as possible, reduce the overall amount of cooked food you consume leading up to your cleanse.

It is important to drink plenty of water throughout your cleanse to help move the toxins out of your system.

Avoid coffee, black tea or caffeinated beverages. Herbal teas are a good supplement. We suggest slowly reducing caffeine consumption prior to beginning your cleanse.  If your recommended cleanse is longer than 2 days, ask your naturopath about hydrotherapy treatments that will eliminate the possibility of auto-intoxication. If you are not eliminating and don’t feel well, contact your naturopath with your concerns.

Strenuous exercise is not recommended. Walking, swimming and gentle yoga or stretching help with lymphatic circulation and the elimination of toxins.

If you feel faint or dizzy, do not exercise.
